The Road to Redemption: A Wife’s Story
Dana and Sheila married young. Dana’s drinking habit and drug use escalated, affecting family life with their two children. Sheila faced emotional challenges juggling work, childcare, and Dana’s addiction. Despite her efforts, Dana refused help, believing he could manage alone.
“After years of addiction, Dana sought help from Waypoint Ministry, which offers support for battling addiction. I knew Dana needed to commit to change. Waypoint provided tools and guidance to overcome addiction. Family Recovery meetings allowed Dana and I to connect with others facing challenges, making us feel less alone in our journey to sobriety.”
Despite setbacks, Dana’s newfound skills and Waypoint Ministry’s support system have helped him navigate challenges. Effective communication and accountability are vital in Dana’s recovery. By prioritizing their relationship and faith in Jesus Christ, they heal, grow, and focus on a brighter future. Embracing their roles as grandparents, they find hope and gratitude for Dana’s journey of sobriety.

A Father’s Heart, A Son’s Salvation
Sye expresses his gratitude for the positive impact Waypoint Ministry has had on his son, Cameron, who has overcome addiction and found faith in Jesus Christ. He praises Waypoint for being the light at the end of the tunnel for their family and credits them for Cameron’s transformation into a God-fearing and supportive individual.
“Cameron’s quiet nature masked his struggles with drug use, which eventually led to a friend overdosing and my son’s arrest. I made the difficult decision to turn Cameron in to the police, leading to his admission to Waypoint Ministry for treatment. Since starting treatment, Cameron has shown exceptional progress, and I consider Waypoint a blessing in my son’s recovery journey.”
The transformation that Cameron has undergone with the help of Waypoint is truly remarkable. The love and support from his family, combined with the guidance and structure provided by Waypoint, have set him on a path towards a brighter future. Waypoint is not just a ministry; it’s a beacon of hope for those struggling with addiction.
